The University of Alabama in Huntsville will hold its fourth annual LAN Party Friday at the University Center's Exhibit Hall. The free party is from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The event is basically a big video game party open to UAH students, high school students and anyone else. This year's LAN Party will feature a full "Rock Band" stage kit, complete with house speakers and stage lights. Tournaments include games like "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" and "Counter Strike: Source."

Free food, drinks and prizes will be given to all those who attend. The LAN Party is sponsored by Harmonix, the makers of the "Rock Band" games, as well as Haven Comics of Madison. (LAN stands for local area network, a computer network.)

The Huntsville branch of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers will be on hand to help raise money for the UAH Biological Sciences Memorial Scholarship to honor the teachers who died in the campus shooting on Feb. 12.

Have a group photo taken with Darth Vader and the Stormtoopers for a $5 donation to the scholarship fund.
